One-week Workshops At Minnesota Street Project

 

The Fashion Class makes sewing and fashion design easy and fun for everyone with entertaining, hands-on learning for children and teens ages 2-17 and adults of all ages! Locations on the Upper East Side and Upper West Side on Manhattan, New York. Kid will create their own designs and have the chance to speak with industry experts. The camp is designed to help you learn and develop your skills, even if you’re starting from scratch. You’ll dive into essential fashion techniques, mastering draping, sewing, and embellishing while completing hands-on projects.

 

This fashion program allows students to understand the fundamentals of the design process. From fashion illustration to creating your professional fashion portfolio to pattern cutting and digital design, students will learn how to create their first fashion collection upon graduation. RISD’s fashion design experience is also one of the oldest on the list, dating back to 1971. Nearly 550 students participate in the pre-collegiate summer programs each year, making it a great option for high school students who seek diversity over an intimate learning environment. Kids ages 4-14 are the focus of Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy’s summer camps based out of the Frick Environmental Center.

 

If your camper’s registration is successfully processed, their spot in the camp is automatically secured—no further confirmation is needed. Registration remains open until camps reach capacity or May 9, 2025, at 5 PM, whichever comes first. We’ve reached out to AWAACC to confirm that they’ll be hosting a dance/music camp this summer. We haven’t heard back yet, but we’ll keep checking and post an update here. At the moment, their website does have details listed from last year’s camp. Some course unit details, and schedules are subject to change as we continually make improvements to align best industry and educational practice.

Choose your projects based on your interests and career goals, or take on all of them to fully challenge and immerse yourself in the fashion industry. This week is all about crafting the essential documents you’ll need to stand out in the competitive fashion job market.

 

Sessions include glassblowing, flameworking, kilnforming and coldworking. Dancers of all sizes, from toddlers to teens, will find a place at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School’s summer sessions. Kids will develop progressive dance fundamentals through barre and floor exercises, French terminology and ballet concepts. The youngest dancers from 2 to 6 years can try summer weekend classes and All About Ballet workshops. The most advanced dancers will be challenged by the Junior Intensive, which covers pointe, pas de deux, jazz and repertoire.

 

Student Details

 

Weekly assignments align with each module, giving you the freedom to fit coursework around your summer activities. The camp provides everything you need, including access to essential software like Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. You’ll find a wealth of online resources, including comprehensive libraries and research materials, all accessible from your standard computer. Additionally, you can explore the digital fashion design curriculum that focuses on creating clothing patterns and fabric designs online. With a selection of top-notch online fashion courses, the camp ensures a balance between theoretical knowledge and hands-on experiences.

 

For convenience, students can purchase fabric from us at 20% off the retail price on the first day of camp. Students are also welcome to bring their own fabric as long as it’s suitable for the project. A five-day intensive in New York City, Vogue Winter Break is designed for fashion lovers interested in an immersive first-hand look into the fashion industry and developing key fashion business skills in just one week. Students will explore a range of topics shaping the industry today and can choose from specialised courses in fashion business, fashion styling and fashion media. Join like-minded students and fashion enthusiasts from around the world and go behind the scenes to learn about the inner workings of the fashion, media and lifestyle industries with Vogue experts as your guide.

 

Aspiring teen chefs will find culinary confidence at the five-day Camp Delicious. Teens will participate in tastings and learn about food sourcing and preparation under the guidance of some of Pittsburgh’s most prominent chefs and nutritionists.
